1/10th SCALE ELECTRIC OFFROAD SERIES

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The "NRW Offroad Cup" was established in 2009. Six racing events and a two-day final were held by local clubs in the west of Germany. The 2012 season will start at a new venue: The indoor track in Lünen.

MAY I PARTICIPATE WITH MY CAR/MOTOR/BATTERY?
Every driver of a 1/10th scale electric Offroad vehicle is welcome! The rule set and material requirements are a simple affair,  so you can use the equipment you already have. In addition to the traditional 2WD, 4WD and stadium truck classes, we offer a beginner's class, and modified and 2WD stock short course classes. The latter evolved from the popular Slash Spec class to give owners of other Short Course Trucks the chance to join in, too.

WHAT CLASSES DO YOU RUN?
2WD, 4WD, Stadium Truck, Short Course 2WD Stock, Short Course Modified, Beginner's (subject to change in 2011)

This year we proudly present one heat in the Netherlands, too.

RULES

General
There is not much to worry about. We have a standard electric Offroad rule set, but no separate standard and modified classes. Only the Short Course 2WD stock class rules are more stringent.

Motor
Put in whatever you like, as long as it is a 540-size brushless or brushed motor (Exception: 2WD SC Stock; we would recommend low-powered motors for the Beginner's class)

Battery
You may use all 6-cell (NiMH), 2s LiPo and 2s LiFe batteries. When charging your batteries, please follow the manufacturer guidelines to keep things safe.

Tires
All Offroad tires other than foams or slicks are allowed (Exception: 2WD SC Stock). Cutting tires is not allowed.

Minimum weight
2WD: 1400 gr. / 4WD: 1500 gr. / stadium trucks: 1600 gr.
Other classes: none

2WD Short Course Stock
Spec class for Short Course Trucks. All short course-style bodies are allowed in their original shape.  The tires listed here  may be used.  All SC wheels allowed. Slash, Blitz and Strike box stock brushed motors and ESCs plus our tried and tested Speed Passion BL Motor(Competition 3.0 17.5R) in combination with one of several approved ESCs. The Ultima SC, XXX-SCT and the SC10 must use one of the other brushed motors or the SP motor with a suitable ESC. Gear ratio limits for brushless set-ups and legal ESCs can be found following the link above.

Short Course modified
Special class for 2WD and 4WD short course trucks (AE SC10, Traxxas Slash...). Modifications to the chassis are allowed, front and rear bumpers and nerf bars must be mounted. You can use any electric equipment you like. Battery regulations as above. Free choice of short course tires, no 1/8th scale tires allowed. All short course-style bodies are allowed in their original shape.
